It's all there; a great, unpredictable and thought provoking plot, good actors, awesome production, all in a very effective mix of science fiction, thriller and drama. There's even some laughs in there if you're in the right mood.
I guess this blend of different genres is very strategic. These people really don't want to get cancelled. But there's nothing wrong with broadening the target group as long as the main concept of the series is good. And in this case it really is. It raises some interesting, almost philosophical questions about determinism and insecurity. Sure, it's not as life changing as reading Sartre or chilling out with a Yaqui shaman all wrecked on Peyote, but hey; it's television and it's actually pretty intelligent considering the context.
I don't wanna drop any names, but some of the actors are not good enough for this show. But I will name some good ones, well only two because it's sleepy time soon: Joseph Fiennes is as brilliant as always, a true professional who is always great to watch. And my second pick is Christine Woods. She has this relaxed, natural and charismatic way of acting which was truly a breath of fresh air.
