Writer/director Lee Roy Myers jumps on the Sitcum parody bandwagon instigated by Will Ryder and takes aim at a current series instead of television classics: The Office (US version). As if there weren't enough Office sex fantasy sites to be found on the world wide web. Apart from changing lead office manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) into blonde, buxom Michelle (Ashlynn Brooke), most every character from the show is represented in some way or another. Wait, I take that back: there's no sign of Ryan, Stanley, Phyllis, Andy Kelly or Creed. Well, at least they brought back the porn tradition of changing the names around.
The actors don't seem to have been cast as much for their resemblance to the TV actors as for their ability to channel the original characters. And since this is an adult feature, most of them are actually a lot better looking than their TV counterparts. Myers naturally copied the documentary approach of filming and managed to make do with only a couple of sets (about 8 people are crammed into this office space). There are actually some surprisingly funny lines in the 'talking heads' interview segments and the most of these porn actors obviously studied the show quite closing before coming to work (there's an advantage of parodying something that's still on the air).
Now online critics have been complaining about the amount of relationships between the characters in the US version of the Office but this feature takes advantage of each one of them. First up are the perennial couple on the show, Jimmy and Sam (James Deen and Jenna Haze) near the copying machine. Next Michelle seduces her superior Gin (Stephanie Swift) in her private office. Dwayne (Dane Cross), who actually has a Dwight Schrute bobble head on his desk, takes on Codi Carmichael (whom I guess is playing Angela) in the R & R room.
After that it becomes a bit more difficult to figure out who is supposed to be whom. Michelle has invited a stripper (Gianna Michaels) to give a 'lecture' on sexual harassment and office worker Fay Reagan (who might supposed to be Meredith but actually looks more like Angela than Codi Carmichael) jumps in more lesbian lovemaking. This gets the accountants (Dahlia Denyle, Ralph Long and Rocco Reed) all hot and bothered and leads to a threesome. Long does his best to copy Brian Baumgartner's expressions as Kevin and as Oscar/Oswald, Reed is obviously straight. Brunette Dahlia is the meat in their sandwich as 'Kylie', presumably a variation on Karen from the third season? Finally Holly from the fifth season (here played by Alexis Texas) teams up with Michelle on Toby (Mark Wood) who really resembles the real Toby to a frightening. If I didn't know better I'd swear it was the same guy.
All this and a surprise twist of an ending that actually makes sense characters wise makes for a really enjoyable alternative to NBC's Office. Unless of course you can't get over the fact that the Michael Scott character has sex with Toby. I'll bet a lot of the actual actors not mentioned above but alluded to all the same will be checking out this DVD sooner or later. They could conceivably even refer to it on the show seeing as they are supposed to be part of a documentary, but then unlike the UK version they never acknowledged the side effects of starring in a real life soap.
