Miles and Kirsty most assuredly do need their heads banging together here and if Irene's looking for volunteers there might be a few on hand. They both say and do exactly the wrong things, with Miles playing for an audience and hiding his feelings while Kirsty fails to see what's right under her nose. She does, however, seem to have given up on Kane. And, interestingly, so has Irene. It's odd that they need Jai to tell them they're all being stupid though.

Elsewhere, Leah is trying to cope with a wayward Theo while VJ continues to demonstrate a talent for repeating exactly the wrong things. But the arrival of Helen and Chris suggests the situation isn't as hopeless as it appears.

Meanwhile, events seem to be conspiring to push Melody and Christine back together but it's all a bit flimsy.Christine's change of personality seems to be complete but it's all a bit abrupt for the viewer to really buy it.The suggestion that she learned by example, treating Audrey the same way she was treated herself, doesn't really excuse her and Miles' worried expression at the climax is rather telling.
