So, Leah's 30th birthday is celebrated with what she describes as the boringest party ever. And the viewer scratches their head about the fact she should have turned 30 about two years ago.The return of her parents, and follically challenged brother, sees her getting a storyline for the first time in ages.(Although no mention of oldest brother Dmitri.)And proving once again that she can't handle her drink. Her kiss with Roman seems to be there for the same reason as Miles and Charlie's, just to give them something to put in the trailers, and is unlikely to lead to anything.

With most of the cast present, we're treated to some nice character moments and some decent follow-ups to what's been going on recently. Xavier seems to be stuck in a rut, constantly standing up to Freya and then copping off with her.Hugo, for once, probably should have stepped in when he saw them together. There's a decent fallout from Nicole's kiss with Freya:Roman overhearing Ruby moaning about it to Charlie is a great comic moment.Nicole, in dismissing Geoff's concerns, seems to be displaying the same double standards she accused Bartlett of last episode. And Ruby...moans, which is all she does these days.

On the serious side, a few nice moments between Martha and Rachel as the former's cancer storyline continues to play out well. And Jon Sivewright continuing to grab the attention as Tony.Rachel doesn't know how to handle him and while her concern is justified she might be best letting him work through this on his own.
