Following up a great first season is an impossible task. Expectations run high, those of the public and those from the sales department.
How to fulfill them? Create more weird characters, more deadly mysteries and unexpected threats and filling them drop by drop like a chainsaw puzzle that cannot be solved until the last episode.
Too many new characters and story lines may have been created in this second season of 'True Blood' and I fear that twelve episodes may not be enough to develop them all to an acceptable level.
That being said 'True Blood' is still much better than almost everything that is shown on TV today and deserves ten stars in all departments.
