An episode full of people being lonely.Ric and Mattie are obviously lost without each other and Nathan just seems to be getting in the way. The team-up of Ric and Kirsty is rather nice(although we'd still have preferred it if they'd given her more scenes with Matilda while they had the chance)and the kiss comes across as an act of desperation more than anything else. It's nice that Kirsty is officially welcomed back into the fold, even if it does lead to Leah casting petty looks at everyone.
Meanwhile, Jai is lost without...pretty much everyone, as apart from Miles and Annie no-one seems to care much about him.Geoff's behaviour is a little bit bullish, although he is just trying to look out for his sister and he does at least try to understand Jai even if he gives up pretty quickly. From his later conversation with Annie, understanding Jai is going to be a bit difficult over the forthcoming weeks. And Geoff and Annie's conversation about God's will comes across as even more ghoulish in retrospect.
