Own the rights?
From my point of view "Bored to Death" had an entertaining start. The concept, the characters, the actors are good and I think little is missing to make this new show work great! This "little" however is depending on its writers. In my opinion "Bored to Death" has become too nice for my taste. Season 1 did not turn out to be as weird in a funny way like the pilot suggested. The story lacks a stronger plot, able to keep all the episodes together. Instead it's going very much from episode to episodes. Besides I also think Jonathan is doing a little too good as private detective. Routine is one thing but I believe this show is best when he's completely failing (like during the first episode)!In short: A funny pilot episode - but the show doesn't keep the high level. So far "Bored to Death" seems like decent, nice entertainment. Only at the moment it's still no real must-see show.
