I have been reading about Sonic Unleashed for months now, and actually had high hopes. There was a lot of information about sonic giving up on the 3d concept and instead using a 3d world but on a 2d plane, therefore becoming a more visually appealing version of the classic sonic 2d games. However this is not the case. The game is, again, 3D with a crappy combat system; there are points that the camera becomes fixed but they never seem to be completely at a 90 degree angle, thus leaving you trying to attack a fixed point at a 45 degree angle, which makes things very difficult.
Please, makers of Sonic games, do what the customers want and ditch the 3d worlds, as was advertised and make a 3d sonic but on a 2d plane as a platformer (with no homing button, nor rails, nor constant running) or just abandon 3d entirely and make a Sonic HD (based on Sonic 1, or Sonic2 with online co-op).
