Reed Garrett:
[Talking to Mac on the phone] Hey it's reed, I'm about to put up a new blog post about the Cabbie Killer and i was hoping that maybe you could help me with something.
Detective Mac Taylor:
[to Reed] I gave you this number for personal reasons, not professional reasons.
Reed Garrett:
[to Mac] Yes i know, but I'm just trying to put together a real profile on this guy, you know?
Reed Garrett:
[to Mac] I mean, don't you think that people have the right to know about who they're afraid of?
Detective Mac Taylor:
[to Reed] Look, I'm impressed by your determination, Reed, maybe even a little bit proud, but you're a journalist and I'm a detective on this case.
Detective Mac Taylor:
[to Reed] you're crossing the line here.
Reed Garrett:
[to Mac] Yes but isn't that what lines are for?
Detective Mac Taylor:
[to Reed] Not in my business.
Reed Garrett:
[to mac] Come on. Throw me a bone, Mac.

The Taxi Killer" story is dragged on for at least another week as it not solved and another victim, which we see early on, is dumped somewhere in the same tarp with the same letters and numbers scratched on her dead body. Real progress, however, is being made and it looks like it could be wrapped up in the next episode.
However, it also looks like Mac's annoying reporter/adopted-like son "Reed" might be the next victim! That's okay with me; the kid is a royal pain in the butt. I doubt if the writers will kill him off, though.
Meanwhile, the major case of this episode is solving who killed a season-ticket holder of a New York pro basketball team. (They use some other name than the real-life Knicks). The guy had just had his "lucky number" called and went down to the court to try a half-court shot for a million bucks. Shortly after making the shot, he drops dead. CSI workers discover he was poisoned by one of the cheerleaders. Someone had deadly lipstick!
Another subplot involves the continuing saga of Danny and Lyndsay as the latter now plays hard to get after being disappointed several weeks earlier by Danny, who showed he wasn't really that interested in getting serious with her. The writers aren't overdoing this angle, which is good......just giving us a little bit at a time.
Overall, another interesting episode that went by very quickly.
