No, it wasn't the best movie; it certainly was not the worst. However, reading "reviews" from untrained writers makes the whole thing a sickening blow to beings of higher intellect.
If the movie seems remotely interesting, watch it. If you're expecting "Jaws" remember, this is TV and you are not going to get anything like that blockbuster. (Every human-killing animal movie is only a pale copy of "Jaws.") If you really crave being grossed out, though, read the reviews in which the "writers" (if they can be called that) act like these made-for-TV movies have a high set of standards which the production is striving to attain. They'll decry the poor production quality, the dialogue peppered with clichés and terribly unreal special effects. If you read closely enough you'll be able to tell just how desperate the reviewer is to be seen as the authority and save yee, lowly viewer (that would be you) from a fate worse than death. His review will stop you from spending two hours being mildly entertained by a MOR movie that never planned on being a blockbuster.
It's a movie. It's just a movie.
