That's So Raven was possibly the greatest sitcom for kids and tweens. It was funny, fresh, and had memorable and consistent character. True Jackson, VP is the same way. It is a very funny show with an appealing star you want to root for and who has good comedic timing to make you laugh. KeKe Palmer is fairly well established for her young age and is good as True Jackson, a perky teenager who lucks into a job as the Vice president of youth apparel at Mad Style,a big fashion company. Danielle Bisutti is hilarious as her foil, the perfectionist Amanda Cantwell. Greg Proops, although credited as recurring seems to appear in every episode (as does Ron Butler as the receptionist Oscar, also only recurring), is Mr. Max Madigan, the head of Mad Style.
Like That's So Raven, True has her two best friends beside her, in this case goofy Lulu and lazy Ryan. Lulu works as True's secretary. True always manages to mess things up and must figure out a way to fix it, making for some very funny plots.
The other thing that makes the show so funny are the way the actors play off of each other. They all have really good chemistry together. Another thing I like is that we hardly see True's family. This makes her all that more interesting because we learn more about her each episode without seeing her family.
True Jackson, VP is a very good show for teen girls to watch, or anyone for that matter. It is nice to see an African American teenager at the helm of a sitcom, since a certain rival network (Disney Channel) for teens doesn't.
