If you're a fan of Wizards of Waverly Place (TV), then you'll love Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), which is out now as an extended edition DVD from the folks at Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. The film is suprisingly good. Actually, let me explain this one a bit. I don't mean "surprisingly" in the sense that I expected it to be bad; what I mean to say is it's exceptionally well done, with a movie's story -- as opposed to feeling like three or four episodes strung together -- and the producers obviously had the necessary money at their disposal, as the scope is far larger and the visual effects are significantly better than we normally see on the weekly show. Disney Channel Orders "Good Luck Charlie"

With hits like "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of Waverly Place," Disney Channel wants to keep its string of good luck going.
The network is ordering up "Good Luck Charlie," a new live-action series some familiar Disney Channel faces.
The series stars Jason Dolley, of Disney Channel's "Cory in the House" series, as well as Disney Channel Original Movies "Hatching Pete" and "Minutemen," and Bridgit Mendler of "Jonas."
The show is about a family whose lives are turned upside down with the addition of their fourth child and the adventures and mishaps of teens living with a new baby. Eric Allan Kramer and Leigh Allyn Baker star as parents Bob and Amy Holliday.

The Disney Channel has set a May 2 premiere date for "Jonas," a new orginal series starring Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. Or maybe it stars Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas. Who can choose? The first episode of "Jonas," which co-stars Chelsea Staub ("Minutemen"), Nicole Anderson ("Hannah Montana"), John Ducey ("Will and Grace") and Rebecca Creskoff ("Mad Men"), will air at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on Saturday, May 2. Teen sensation rockers the Jonas Brothers are branching out into TV comedy! Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas will star in "Jonas," which "follows the fictional Lucas Brothers through the unexpected, unpredictable and often absurd situations that confront these rock and roll superstar brothers as they try to live ordinary lives," the Disney Channel announced in a press release. The famous brothers will join fellow young stars Chelsea Staub ( "Minutemen"), Nicole Anderson ("Hannah Montana"), John Ducey ("Will and Grace") and Rebecca Creskoff ("Mad Men") in the series, which will feature original Jonas Brothers songs created specifically for the show.
