Trivia:
This is the last film of Andrei Krasko who died suddenly a few weeks after the shooting's end. He hadn't time to perform the dubbing, so Semyon Furman gave his voice to the main character and did it perfectly well: the voice of Krasko being very specific, it's practically impossible to notice the substitution without knowing it beforehand. Ironically, this is also the first film in which Andrei Krasko plays a main character, all previous movie career of this brilliant and successful actor consisting of cameos and supporting parts. Amongst many actors regarded as candidates for the part of Viktor Tyrsa, Krasko was the only one who rejected the superstitions and agreed to play a man who travels between life and death. moreFAQ

*** This comment may contain spoilers ***
The last film of Andrei Krasko became his best. After numerous supporting roles and cameos Krasko got his first and at the same time his last leading part. And acted it brilliantly. His Dr. Viktor Tyrsa, a man who never believed in life after death accidentally lapse into coma and joins the bunch of people, who like him are in a same state. They travel across some deserted land, headed by a man, calling himself instructor. They have no goal. They just go and wait for their turn to go back to life, or die. During this trip Dr. Tyrsa has to change all his beliefs and take a new look at life and death. No need to speak about performance of Krasko. All his roles, even shortest cameos, are memorable and lively. But only in this picture, when he got the majority of screen time, we can enjoy his talent at it's maximum. Supporting cast also worth kind words and complements Krasko perfectly. Overall - very good movie, brilliant Krasko and 9 out of 10.
