Plot:

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When waiting for Ballentine to approach the elevator, Kyle is doing some quick math in his head to determine when to hit the "doors close" button. After using Ballentine's reflection to determine his distance, he says to himself "distance divided by time told me that he'd reach the elevator in..." However, distance divided by time gives you rate of speed, distance divided by *rate* gives you time
