Another Court TV Two Hours!, 10 May 2007
Author: Sylvia Marciniak (sylviastel@aol.com) from United States

Don't get me wrong, I like the moderators, Lisa Bloom and Politan, both experienced lawyers who has two hours to oversee a case like the Phil Spector Murder Trial and the Melanie McGuire Case which was in New Brunswick, New Jersey and at the courthouse where I was summoned for jury duty but not for any case. Anyway, they spend two hours talking over the case in depth and ask a question to the audience bringing an interactive audience. Anyway, I was troubled by Lisa Bloom's ignorance with regards to New Jersey. I think she would be pleasantly surprised if she hopped over the bridge with her two children to visit the garden state and I hope she will. Politan is a regular New Jerseyan. That was my main problem with the McGuire case was the lack of knowledge about the location of the house they closed on in Warren County. Yes, there are rural, urban, suburban, parts of New Jersey and Warren County is one of them but I don't live there. We have mountains, beaches, cities, etc. all over the state. Anyway, I still watch it because I follow the trials and I liked the fact that two hours is enough time to spend with these moderators. Although, the audience is used to seeing the entire courtroom process. Despite the fact that West Coast is three hours behind, Court TV stops showing the Spector trial at lunch time. We have to catch up the next day and that's something I don't understand as to why Court TV never managed to re-arrange their schedule to allow the Spector trial to be shown live even going into the evening where you can probably get more viewers who are working east coast time to watch the show. The Spector Trial may not be the trial of the century but it's still good viewing because it's real and sad because of the loss of Lana Clarkson. Anyway, I still think the case is riveting.
