Trivia:
The model for Dennis Quaid's character was Charles Bukowski, the hard-drinking, hard-living author. Indeed Quaid showed up on the first day of shooting with a full beard. The decision was then taken that Bukowski was a little too extreme a characterization for the lead role so it was toned down a little.

Before I wrote this review, i was looking briefly at what other people had to say about this movie. A lot of people said it was just bad all around, with horrible writing and such. Well, i disagree. I thought the movie was very well acted, and Dennis Quaid really carried the torch as the main guy. Aidan(Quaid) is a private investigator assigned to a case in which it involves the four horsemen of the apocalypse, With a different person representing each horseman, each victim that is found is tortured in a different way, usually by suspension. A thing that i did have against Horsemen was that it was just a little too tasteless on the gratuity. Did we really have to see a baby that was cut out of a pregnant mother? It was very hard to watch, but watchable when the story was so unpredictable and the acting so believable. No, this movie was not scary, but it was well written and had me guessing the whole time. Just make sure you haven't eaten much before you watch this.
