Death Note is beyond great.

I must say, Death Note is one of the most impressive animes I've ever seen. It's in the top five in my list, probably listed third, second, or even first! I'm VERY picky when it comes to anime (I'm an anime/manga gourmet of some sort), and when I saw Death Note's first episode, I was completely blown away.

The plot is not cliché, and pretty basic. It's about a seventeen year old boy named Light Yagami whom is pretty much bored with his life. He's the top student of his class, possessing a brilliant IQ. Light finds a supernatural notebook (Death Note) that it's basic purpose is to kill people by writing their names in it's pages. That's all I'm going to say, I don't want to spoil anything :P

The show's animation is very impressive, and the music is suspenseful. The show's story makes your eyeballs desire for more, and you have no idea what is going to happen next! It has raw, fresh material that makes you go "WOW!".
