This music documentary is about a "world music(s)" orchestra which, when the crew started shooting the film, didn't even exist. It therefore has feature-film type of scenario, with a build-up, climax, etc. The story is a moving account of an Italian music lover who lives in Rome's immigrant area and decides to make a band with locals (i.e. immigrants). Although his first attempts to find musicians fail miserably, he ends up finding some brilliant musicians... and characters: A Tunisian playboy-vocalist, a Cuban traveller/trumpet player, and, the funniest of all, according to me, a pair of jolly Indian tablas players. The documentary is well put together and dotted with comedy video-clips shot in third-world style. The opening scene of a bollywood scene in the middle of Piazza Vittorio, the square around which much of the action takes place, is delightful!
