This is a major plotline of the series. Judgment Day still happens despite the destruction of Cyberdine's program in T2. The origins of Skynet are shrouded in much more mystery in the series, as the Connors try to figure out what other technology programs might result in the creation of Skynet.
They don't. The gun that Cromartie has stashed in his leg is just a Glock 17, not a future weapon. No explanation is given as to why he hid it in his leg (though perhaps it was done to get through the school's security). It also seems possible that weapons hid under flesh can be transported, as evidenced by a cyborg being able to transport. The future weapon and time machine used in the bank were created by sending someone to the past to build them from scratch and stash them in safe places for present time travellers to use. It is not explained what happens to the weapon and time machine after the Connors leave the vault. Perhaps the remains of the time machine inspire the eventual invention of the time machine itself (similar to how Dyson was inspired by the remains of the first Terminator). It is also possible that both the weapon and time machine were destroyed in the "explosion," considering Charles Dixon's comment that all that was left was a crater where the bank was.
It isn't. Sarah Connor Chronicles is alternative story, starting from where Terminator 2 left off. Series creator Josh Friedman says that the reason for this is that Sarah Connor is a vital component of the series. He describes SCC as an alternate timeline. The show starts off 2 years after T2 ended. This show follows the same idea of T3 where Judgement day is invevitable. But by the end of the first episode they skip 8 years which completely irradicates Terminator 3's story.http://uk.tv.ign.com/articles/798/798086p1.html
According to creator and executive producer Josh Friedman, there is still flesh (at the time burning from the effects of the plasma weapon) on Cromartie's head when it enters the portal. This allows it to time travel. The flesh is completely consumed when the Cromartie's head exits the portal, thus leaving only a metallic skull. His words: "When Cromartie's head goes through the time bubble, THERE IS FLESH ON IT. If you can't see it, that's because A. it's burning off very quickly and B. certain people don't like it when we show burning flesh, cyborg or not."
1999. But, they time traveled to 2007, and that is the time the series takes place.
As long as the first episode was a pilot, director was trying to setup her personality. Besides that, you can see that she was clearly playing a role. She takes back some parts of this "personality" when she has to interact with some humans. For example, at the museum, when the teacher asks her to remain with the group, she smiles, charming him... just like she did with John at the beginning. Also, according to the commentaries on the first season DVDs it is stated that Cameron was programmed to act in that manner until she came into contact with John and became his protector. From there she could drop the facade and act like what she is, a terminator.
Cameron is credited because the characters John Connor and Sarah Connor were created by him as were the show concepts which were taken from first two movies, therefore he had a certain influence on the shows creation, thus his credit.
No, the show has been cancelled and therefore there is no possibility that John will meet Kate. The end of the series suggests he meets and falls in love with the human version of Cameron.
There is no given name for it, but Shirley Manson (the actress who plays the part of Catherine Weaver) calls it "pweeque".
Fox has canceled the series on their network. Warner Brothers is currently attempting to have another network, possibly SciFi, pick it up.
Catherine Weaver and John Connor travel to the future to find John Henry, John Connor winds up crossing paths with Derek and Kyle Reese. They claim they've never heard of John Connor. This is because John has completely skipped living out the events that lead to the future, much like he and Sarah did in the very first episode of Season 1. Therefore he never became the leader of the Resistance. While talking with them, he sees Cameron before she was captured by the machines and mimic her likeness. Then it ends...
Sarah Connor: It's left ambiguous as to if she gets cancer or not. But she stays in the present to help fight skynet.John Connor: Travels to the future to find John Henry.Cameron: Offers her NeuralNet Processor to John Henry so he can be free of the mainframe. So she becomes nothing but an out of commission machine.Derek Reese: Shot in the head while attempting to rescue Catherine Weaver's daughter Savannah. Though John meets with Derek's future self, so he isn't totally gone so to speak.James Ellison: Last seen with Sarah Connor. Presumably joins her and helps her fight skynet. Though this is left ambiguous.Charlie Dixon: Shot three times in the chest while helping John escape hitmen.Jesse Flores: It is uncertain whether or not she was killed by Derek for going rogue and betraying John but the assumption is that she was spared as Derek answered the question by saying "John Connor told me not to" or something along those lines.Riley Dawson: Killed by Jesse.Catherine Weaver: Still a mysterious character, we learn she is not quite a villain, she is a T-1100 but she protects the Connors instead of trying to kill them. She travels with John to the future.Cromartie: Badly damaged by the Connors, Sarah destroys his chip and they bury him. Ellison later steals his body and brings it to Weaver. Weaver connects him to The Turk computer. Thus creating John Henry.John Henry: Takes Cameron's chip and travels to the future to be the Resistance's equivalent to Skynet.
Yes. They were called "Grays." (ie, John Smith is a gray.) Doing this makes you a target by every other person to be killed on sight.
It seems that Matt Murch performs this step. Although this scene is missing because to keep the drama of the situation, it is obviously that there is nobody as qualified enough to do such a operation than Matt Murch.
