This film existed in a nearly-complete form for nearly two years with no interview from Johnny Depp (the filmmakers never got the chance on the hectic set to interview him). On hiatus with Pirates of the Carribean in fall 2005, Johnny sat down with their questions and an assistant and very generously shot one of the best, most personal interviews the filmmakers had ever seen of him - a fascinating, 45-minute glimpse into the character and Johnny's attraction to the part.
