what happens when 3 idiots get assigned to active military duty..., 5 April 2009
6/10
Author: MLDinTN from TN

to find out, watch this movie. This movie was better than I expected it to be. It was actually quite funny. Larry, Bill, and Everett are 3 guys that work just 1 weekend a month in the reserves. But suddenly, they get called to active duty and assigned to Iraq. On the way there, the airplane drops a truck in which they just happen to be sleeping in. So, when they wake up, they think they are in Iraq but are actually in Mexico. Then they must save a town from bandits.

Some of the things they do are funny. DJ Qualls plays Everett and he has some of the best scenes. He's so skinny and in this he is supposed to be this great wrestler. He also wears a sniper outfit that looks ridiculous and one of the other guys calls him a retarded Chewbacca. Funny. There is also their Sgt. Kilgore who fell out of the plane too. He is forced to sing karaoke by the bandits. The ring leader is named Carlos Santana so of course that brings more jokes. The towns people give them tacos to eat and they just can't believe they have tacos in Iraq. There were many other scenes that made me laugh, but you get the idea.

FINAL VERDICT: A lot better than you would think. It's funnier than a lot of movies I've seen lately. Check it out.
