Romantic Comedy That's Actually Funny

Eva Parker plays Kate, a control freak who is about to marry Henry (Paul Rudd), but is crushed by an ice sculpture on her wedding day. A year later Henry is still in a funk, so his sister hooks him up with a psychic, played by Lake Bell, to get him to move on. Soon Bell's character is handling more than she bargained for, with a jealous ghost making her life miserable.

This movie is unique among romantic comedies because it's actually funny. Not corny, sappy or syrupy. Lake Bell has great comic timing and exudes a natural appeal akin to Debra Messing, plus she's every bit as beautiful. Eva Parker was also stunning (and funny) as the dead jealous wife, and Paul Rudd was great as usual. It was a true kick from start to finish, and totally unexpected. I rarely like romantic comedies and can't remember ever wanting to see one twice, but this one is a keeper that I will happily watch again. The rating here is not representative of this film and does it an injustice.
