I watched this on DVD under the new name "Strike!" just for kicks and actually did enjoy it. It's basically another Dodgeball/Blackball type of strange sports comedy.
As far as the guy that would rather bleed to death...he only watched the first half hour which is what got me hooked on the movie. Oscarz Pizza and all of it's little quirks (see for yourself) was hilarious! The league matches montage was worth a few good laughs too. I'm not sure what this guy was watching, but if he had a sense of humor he should have enjoyed it...oh...and he called Life Free or Die Hard "Fantastic" and "Refreshing"...
If you liked National Lampoon's Blackball, Dodgeball, Grandma's Boy etc. etc. you ought to enjoy this movie.
