Sonic the Hedgehog is back and on the next generation console on his 15th anniversary.

First off, this game is terribly mis-scored and harassed. It seems like reviewers just needed someone to pick on and saw a bunch of other reviewers beating up on Sonic and decide to join in. It definitely doesn't deserve the one of the worst 360 titles there is because there are just some games that has gotten a better score that was more boring and repetitive than this game. Games as boring as Gothic and repetitive as Catlevania (dont get me wrong i love castlevania but curse of darkness was lame and it got 3 out of 5) Anyway on to the review Gameplay: You get to play as Sonic, Shadow, and new comer Silver along with Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Omega, Amy, and from the Sonic Rush games, Blaze the Cat. Fortunately there's no Big the Cat to be found but unfortunately none of the Chaotix or Cream were to be found either. It plays like the other Sonic 3d plat-formers, Each of the characters have their own unique abilities which all is needed to get through one part or the other. Sonic has his speed and homing attacks, Shadow being able to do almost the same but has Chaos Control and can drive vehicles, and finally the Newcomer Silver with his Psychokinesis. Once one character reaches to a certain point whichever character is with you takes over then switches back later on. Also some RPG elements are added.

Grapics: Graphics are amazing but it looked flat and bland at some parts. Models for Sonic and the other characters are great though. The CG cut scenes are pretty amazing also.

Sound: Possibly one of the best scores in all of the 3D sonic games. Forgettable tunes but to all of them. Sonic's theme "His World" is one of my favorite songs in the game. The music in the levels could get cheesy but they definitely suit the stage. Voice acting also isn't that bad, it's your standard 4kids stuff with special guest voice acting by the lovely Lacey Chabert.

Replayablity: Moderately low

Story: It didn't really make sense at the beginning but once you play through as Sonic then to Silver and then Shadow the story pretty much comes together.

Cons: One of the things that seriously ruins the game is of course the horrible load times. There are A lot of parts in quests where we have to wait for almost 1-2 minutes for some guy to say a line or two and then another 1-2 minutes to play the actual quest. Another thing are the glitches that happen in the game. Although they're not very big they're still a problem when you're trying to complete a stage. I'm not gonna complain about the camera. It really wasn't that bad in my opinion. There was a little mislead in the cover and the game CD. It says "XBOX LIVE" but the game didn't have that at all. Not a big deal it's just misleading.

Overall: This game doesn't deserve a poor rating. It has average gameplay, good graphics and an awesome soundtrack to boot. If anything its either average or mediocre. Its not game of the year material but it's not worst game 360 of 2006 either. As I recall, Bomberman Act Zero was a bigger disappointment and failure, its wasn't even Bomberman, it was some stupid cyborg. Don't let some reviews take you. at least Game Informer gave it a mediocre/average score. I'm not a Sonic fan but i definitely enjoyed this game. Give it a chance, its pretty good.
