• Continuity: In the main title, right after the title "Dexter" appearing, Dexter is shaving his neck. When we see his face, neither his face nor neck is shaved.
  
  
• Factual errors: The Series is set in Miami, and Miguel Prado is an Assistant District Attorney. Florida doesn't have DA's, they have State's Attorneys and Assistant State's Attorneys.
  
  
• Continuity: In the main title, a fried egg is made; we see the yolk being cut with a knife. Then a plate is shown, with a 'sunny side up' egg being cut.
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: The show is set in Florida and frequently shows vehicles with a Florida license plate on the front of a car but in Florida, plates only go on the back, never on the front.
