You find out exactly what happens to all of the Halliwells in the last few minutes of this series. They even have a tribute to Prue. At the very end, they show a little girl sitting on a chair reading the Book of Shadows. The front door is left open, and the little girl points her finger towards the door, and the door closes (clearly using telekinesis), which is nearly the same thing Prue does at the end of the pilot episode, and the exact same this she does at the end of Season 2. more
Goofs:
Continuity: Grams acts as though she doesn't know that Prue, Piper and Phoebe become the Charmed Ones, or recognize "future" Piper. In fact she acts as though time travel is a big surprise. Where as Grams had meet the Charmed Ones in season 1 episode 17 "That '70's Episode" so should not have been as surprised as she was. Young Grams said in that after they leave that she was going to cast a memory spell to erase the knowledge that they had time traveled to avoid changing the future. more

I have been a fan of the show since the beginning. The story lines have been great, just as the guest stars have been.
The best part for me...that Christy was finally smoked! I could not stand her!!! I loved how the multi-generational family thing tied it all together. I understand the whole Prue thing. I am actually pretty cool with the fact that she was not 'in' the EP, BUT, I think the greatest tribute would have been to show her picture on the wall as the show ended. The storyline would NEVER have worked without Prue, and I think that for those of us that were the die hard fans deserved more respect from a show that we respected for eight seasons.
