The song used at the end of the episode was originally written for the Royal Shakespeare Company production of "The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby" - the staging at the end of the play in the episode was heavily influenced by the RSC's production.

Goofs:

Errors in geography: When Josh and Amy are discussing welfare, they are doing so at a Tully's Coffee. Tully's Coffee only has stores in the western United States and none in Washington D.C.
