Jonas is off soloing in La Paz, Indonesia, rescuing "kids," as he sarcastically puts it. He isn't enthused.Later in the show, he derides them, using expressions like "stupid Bible thumpers." Meanwhile, the young missionaries and local Christian sympathizers are being butchered by local rebels. A group of kids is hiding out and Jonas must rescue them.
In a subplot, a female senator is at the base and Col. Ryan (Robert Patrick) is trying to get more funds out of her for his group. Apparently, this is not the first time. Apparently the senator is sympathetic but she doesn't always act it. The ladies are putting on a social gathering for her, too. They aren't thrilled about this "assignment" either, but come through with flying colors.
In another subplot, one of the groups is in training and Mack is shot in the arm by the new recruit Bob. Since this group expects perfection, that didn't go over to well and because of it, another team - Bravo - gets picked to go help Jonas out because things are getting very hairy down in LaPaz, Indonesia.
We also get the usual soap opera b.s., this time with "Tiffy" yelling at her husband because he won't tell her how his arm got bloodied. She criticizes his lack of communication skills. (This is the same woman who is cheating on him, BTW.)
The rescue is all done, albeit reluctantly by the unbeliever Jonas, in dramatic form. The untrustworthy local who helps him is a fun guy to watch. I was sorry to see yet another TV show exhibit its anti-Christian bias. Is there any TV program that doesn't show prejudice? Too bad, because otherwise this is a fine show.
