Its Tru's birthday and Harrison wants to throw her a surprise party. Unfortunately he doesn't have enough money to hire a venue so he uses the morgue. When the lights go out Tru hears a voice calling for help but on the rewind she does not know who it is.
There are two possibilities. The first one is a fight that was occurring between Lexi Keely and Avery Bishop over a phantom pregnancy. Tru believes this is the most likely outcome. The second is Dr. Carrie Allen is being accused by her ex sister in law about her husbands death. Davis believes she is the likely victim and spends the day trying to protect her.
When Harrison wins big at the races, thanks to Jack's help, he throws the party at a different venue. After Jack turns up Tru realizes that neither hunches were correct and she has been duped all along.
In the final scene we discover to our horror that Jack has been using his own undercover agent to keep one step ahead of the game.
