This is Jeffrey Combs first appearance in "Star Trek". Over the next eleven years, he would become one of the franchise's most prolific guest stars, appearing in a further 43 episodes across "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993), "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995) and "Enterprise" (2001). Furthermore, he would later play three distinct recurring characters: the Ferengi liquidator Brunt and the Vorta administrator Weyoun in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993) and the Andorian commander Shran in "Enterprise" (2001). He also appeared in the series finales of both.
