Crockett and Tubbs on their first official case, 3 May 2009
9/10
Author: John Smith from New York

After the first double episode, first single episode of 'Miami Vice' arrives. In this episode Crockett and Tubbs are going undercover to bring down Sam Kovics (Paul Hecht) who runs chain of prostitution and pornography, in order to get to him they first must get through his companion Artie Rollins (Ed O'Neill) who is actually an undercover FBI agent Arthur Lawson supposingly gone over to the "other side", in other words FBI headquarters think he got tired of undercover job that was slowly devouring him (which is obvious since he repeatedly asked to be taken off the case) and decided to turn over to the life of "smooth criminal". Crockett and Tubbs get into a dilemma, they don't know if Arthur got too deep in his undercover role or if he really crossed over to the other side of the law, and they don't know how to bring Kovics down as soon as possible because he is taking his job over the border into Mexico.

Johnson and Thomas appearances in 'Heart of Darkness' were good, although not better than in the first episode, still much better than some of the characters and actors in the modern series.
