Quotes:
Hawkeye: I am the essence of overconfidence! I am speculation, adventure; the spirit of pursuit; the stag howling for its winsome yet anonymous mate. I am the love call of evolution; the perfume and color of the flowers as they offer their pollen to the gentle buzz of the bees. I am sex itself, gentlemen. I am life. I am appetite! moreFAQ

The opening clip of "Inga" had Captain Pierce preparing for his rendezvous with Nurse Inga Halverson. Captain Pierce -- in his usual self -- had one thing in mind. admiration of Inga Halverson. Without any warning, Nurse Inga Halverson -- from the Swedish Red Cross -- arrived at the 4077th to fulfill her job as a female surgeon ... all while on temporary assignment. Captain Hunnicutt and Major Winchester then introduced themselves to Nurse Halverson.
During Act One, Nurse Halverson demonstrated a new surgical technique to reconstruct the knee while in surgery. Captain Pierce became surprised about the way she showed him in surgery. He acted dumbfounded about the way how a woman performs in surgery ... even if he did not admire her professionalism as a nurse. In addition, Major Houlihan chided Captain Pierce for maintaining his own ego ... specifically about one's sex ... and not about one's reputation.
In Act Two, Captain Pierce was not acting considerate of her feelings about her profession. Meanwhile, Major Winchester was observing a nurse administering the medicine on time to a patient in the post-operative section of the 4077th. The problem: the patient endured a severe allergic reaction of penicillin. The conflict: Major Winchester scolded a nurse for not having an emergency tray. The nurse used a syringe to administer adrenalin to stop the possibility of brain damage to the patient. In all actuality, Actress Mariette Hartley performed brilliantly in her role as Nurse Inga Halverson. She endured a crisis -- in her role -- of how people make her work miserable as a nurse. People did not understand that a woman's perspective as a nurse consisted more than the admiration of her body. Rather, admiration of a woman consisted of integrity, professionalism, dependability, consideration, wit, and honesty in the medical world. A Fat 13 Out Of 10!! An A++!!
