Trivia:
This episode was actually a pilot for a proposed spin-off series starring 'Milo Ventimiglia'. It was tentatively titled "Windward Circle". The WB had committed to six episodes of the series. But the network dropped the project citing cost issues due to filming on location in Venice, California. Ventimiglia then left the series as a regular, making only occasional appearances. more

Continuity: When Luke comes over to tell Lorelai about Jess, he's beckoning from outside the back kitchen door. However, as Lorelai goes through the door and the camera angle changes, they're standing in front of the side living room door. more
Quotes:
Rory:
I can't finish all this and sleep at the same time.
Lorelai:
You have to sleep. It's what keeps you pretty.
Rory:
Who cares if I'm pretty if I fail my finals?
Lorelai:
Oh-kay. You've got this so completely backwards.
