Factual errors: The Dutchman keeps referring to Max as 'Herr Scar'. 'Herr' is German, not Dutch. It would be more appropriate for him to say 'Meneer Scar'. moreFAQ

A parody of crime caper films, Max and 99 go to London where they run across Don Adams' old employer Danny Thomas in a thick fog. They are there to locate the American demolitions expert the Scar. Max kills the scar and takes his place in an elaborate caper to steal the crown jewels. The team is composed of an international ring of specialists. Max has to go along with the plans until he can find out who the mastermind of the operation is. In addition to the funny opening sequence, we get to see British CONTROL's version of the Cone of Silence, the "Umbrella of Silence" and there's a synchronize watches gag that was pretty much lifted whole and put in "Animal House".
