Terrific episode that is more a parody of old "Fu Manchu" movie serials than the James Bond movie, "Dr. Yes". This shows off one of the best parts of the "Get Smart" series--the mixture of genuine peril with off the wall humor. The show begins with a great cold opening that has Max, 99 and the Chief at a rocket launch. When the missile goes awry, a double agent shoots the General who knows where the self-destruct button is. Max then shoots the double agent--the only other one who knows where the self-destruct button is! Wally Cox has a extended cameo as a TV repairman.

The diabolical fiend behind the series of missile mishaps is the KAOS madman, Dr. Yes (Donald Davis). Wearing a Fu Manchu outfit, mustache and impossibly long (and deadly) fingernails, Dr, Yes has a multi ethnic team so when they answer him he hears "Yes" in 4 different languages (Jawohl. Oui. Da. Si.) Although he's part Harry Hoo ("moment please. It is written...) and Craw, Davis does a nice job of giving us a new villain and its too bad he didn't get to reprise his role in another episode.

There's a lot of good jokes in this one including a nod to Dr. Strangelove about American scientists who speak German, Adams is in the zone comedically and Feldon looks breathtaking wearing a skin tight wet suit as they swim to Dr. Yes' secret underwater headquarters. Seeing Feldon in that wet suit is an eye opening experience.
