Murder at grand central station A man with burns all over his face is seen staggering through the crowds of Grand Central Station, bumping into people and causing a ruckus. It turns out someone has thrown lye in his face. One drop of lye also lands on the arm of a little girl who also lost her teddy bear in the confusion. That bear winds up being important evidence. In the ambulance, Hawkes is unable to save the wounded man's life. Following the trace of the lye, that teddy bear is found with a foot print on it.
Meanwhile, on someone's roof a sexy twenty-something is tanning herself and asks her boyfriend, who's applying oil to her feet, to move out of the sun. When he does, he notices someone nearby. He goes to look and discovers a woman lying on the ground behind a wall who has been strangled. It also turns out she's blind. As Danny says, "Who strangles a blind person?" That's case number two for the show.
And, as expected, we see the boss, Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) discover that "Aiden" (Vanessa Ferlito) has indeed tampered with evidence on a rape case and she is fired. Too bad.....I'll miss seeing her.
Overall, a decent episode but a typical one in which crimes are solved with a bit of a stretch, scientifically-speaking, but always fun to watch.
