New Gotham is having a high school reunion. Helena is on the invitation list. But a string of murders of ex-students is making it tricky for her to accept, especially with Reese investigating, as it puts her secret identity at risk.
The villain of Reunion is quite pathetic. But, thankfully, everything else that is going on in this episode is good stuff. The interplay between all the leads feels a lot more natural throughout. It put a smile on my face several times, for the right reasons, and I felt emotionally connected to what was going on.
The way in which Helena reveals her identity to Reese is handled quite nicely from both actors.
Other than the weak villain, the only other part of this episode that jars with me is the scene where Barabara has dinner with Wade and his parents. It is blatantly obvious that this scene was meant for an earlier episode.
Otherwise, thoroughly enjoyable. The best so far.
