Trivia:

This is the only episode of the show to feature foreign location footage shot especially for "Battlestar Galactica". A second unit was sent to Egypt where stand-ins for Jane Seymour, Richard Hatch, and Lorne Greene were filmed walking through the ruins at Luxor.

Goofs:

Continuity: The first time we see Rigel (Sarah Rush) issuing launch orders, her hair is up in a bun. This is most likely footage reused from the pilot episode, since a few minutes later, and during the rest of the episode, her hair is elaborately braided.
