"Nothing To Fear" is one of the first episodes to deal with the nefarious Scarecrow. The ugly-looking fiend has created a gas that makes people see the things they fear the must. It is up to Batman to put a stop to Scarecrow's reign of terror. Scarecrow is one sick puppy whose demented behavior is second only to the Joker. I liked how the writers of this episode made an effort to create a multi-dimension villain. Because the Scarecrow has motivations that make sense the narrative is interesting. Once again, Alfred has some of the best (and funniest) lines in the show. But the humor is sharp and it used sporadically, so it never feels campy. It is lesson the live-action film "Batman and Robin" didn't learn. Anyhow, it is an excellent episode.
