Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Flashbacks establish that Gunn knows demons exist in L.A., but in "Angel" (1999) {Guise Will Be Guise (#2.6)}, he wonders how he could have lived in town all his life without knowing all the "weird-ass stuff" going on. more

We are not losing another member of this family - The most unpopular 'Gunn'-episode is probably my favorite, not because of the 'Gunn' storyline but because of pretty much everything else. I only really hated the "break-up" scene with 'Fred', it was really overacted, badly scripted and forced, but the rest of the 'Gunn' storyline worked, I bought the whole 'selling-soul-for-truck' thing. I also liked the Casino storyline, it was fun, and 'Angel' only getting a three cracks me up every time. What I mainly love about the episode are the 'Wes' scenes, he doesn't actually say anything but they're still powerful. And of course the Cangel scenes, well-written and heartbreaking, at the end of the episode 'Angel' is finally able to move on. Excellent episode, glad 'Cordy' and 'Groo' were back. CORDELIA: I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I know what you're going through, or that I could begin to understand what it is you're feeling. The last thing you need right now is someone saying that given time, things will get better. The hurt will go away. Because things won't get better. And the hurt's never gonna go away. The truth is, if you lived another two hundred years, you'd never forget how Connor was taken from you. And you shouldn't. You loved your son, Angel. And you're gonna go on loving him. And missing him. And you'll go one living. You'll do that, too. ANGEL: I don't know how. CORDELIA: You don't need to. The "how" works itself out. Life'll just keeping happening. There'll be people who need our help and so we'll help 'em. 'Cause that's what we do. (8.5 out of 10)
