Fun Stuff

Trivia:

The names of the investigating officers on the arrest record for Vanessa Brewer are those of crew members who worked on the series: Will Batts - Set Designer, Sandy Struth - Set Decorator & 'David M Burns' - Assistant to Kelly A. Manners, Second Unit Director. more

Goofs:

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Angel returns from Vanessa's trial, he says there was a "hung jury" and she was "acquitted." But a hung jury results in a new trial, not an acquittal. more

Quotes:

Charles Gunn: Whoo! Whoo! My God! They told me it was true, but I didn't believe 'em. Damn. Here it is! Evil white folks really do have a Mecca. Now, now, now girls, don't get all riled up.
[screams]
Charles Gunn: Did you just step on my foot? Was that my foot you just stepped on? Are you assaulting me up in this haven of justice? Somebody get me a lawyer, 'cause my civil rights have seriously been violated. Oh, I get it, I get it. Y'all can cater to the demon, cater to the dead man, but what about the black man?

Lindsey, haven't you learned anything? No one has their own life. We're all part of something larger - A nice episode right before the first season finale. We got to see more of Wolfram & Hart, especially of the character 'Lindsey' who wanted out. 'Holland Manners' (Sam Anderson) also made his first appearance, I love his line right after he ordered the guard to kill 'Lee' - What a pity. You can't get that out of the carpet. Believe me, we've tried. The 'monster' of the episode was a blind woman, a pretty interesting villain. I've never considered 'Lindsey' to be a bad guy, nor a good guy. He's kind of in between, the only thing that he cares about is power so at the end of the episode he decides to stay because 'Holland' offered him his office. Neat episode, great camera work. LINDSEY: I guess it's fair to say that you've never seen anything like real poverty. I'm talking dirt poor -- no shoes, no toilet. Six of us kids in a room, and come flu season it went down to four. I was seven when they took the house. They just came right in and took it. And my daddy's being nice, you know? Joking with the bastards while he signs the deed. So, yeah, so we had a choice. Either you got stepped on or you got to steppin', and I swore to myself that I was not going to be the guy standing there with the stupid grin on my face, while my life got dribbled out. ANGEL: I'm sorry. I nodded off. Did you get to the part where you're evil?. (9.0 out of 10)
