Chicago – Paramount has released cast and synopsis information along with a slate of images from their entire 2010 schedule of films, including “Shutter Island,” “She’s Out of My League,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Iron Man 2.” “Shrek Forever After,” “The Last Airbender,” “Dinner For Schmucks,” “Megamind,” and “Morning Glory”.

Synopsis: From Oscar®-winning director Martin Scorsese, “Shutter Island” is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

Paramount has released the synopses and a bunch of first look images from all of their 2010 releases. Some of the first look images are from Morning Glory (Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton), She’s Out of My League (Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve), and How to Train Your Dragon. In addition to the first look images, they’ve provided us with high resolution versions of a few images that have you may have seen and the first synopses from Dinner for Schmucks, Megamind, and Morning Glory. Everything is after the jump so take a look:

Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks have released their 2010 picture preview, which includes nine upcoming films including Shutter Island, Iron Man 2, Shrek Forever After and The Last Airbender. Along with the preview we have five brand new images not to mention select new images that were recently released such as the poster for Shrek and new images for Iron Man 2.
All the cast, director and synopsis information is listed over the course of the next few pages as well as all the release dates for 23 upcoming films. Principal photography for a new Irish comedy thriller, 'The Guard', has commenced in Spiddal, Co. Galway. The feature is written and directed by John Michael McDonagh (Ned Kelly) and stars Brendan Gleeson (Into the Storm) and Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda).
Announced today by Martin Cullen Td, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, the film sees Emmy winner Brendan Gleeson playing an unorthodox Irish policeman who joins forces with Don Cheadle's straitlaced FBI agent in a bid to take on an international drug-smuggling gang.
Other Irish acting talents featured includes Ifta winners Liam Cunningham (Hunger), Fionnula Flanagan (Lost, Transamerica), Pat Shortt (Garage) and David Wilmot (Intermission, The Clinic). Director of photography for the project is Larry Smith (Eyes Wide Shut) and production designer is John-Paul Kelly (Venus). 'The Guard's costume designer is Eimer Ni Mhaoldomhnaigh (Brideshead Revisted) and the film's editor is Chris Gill (28 Days Later).

Three More Actors Join Political Drama The Whistleblower

At the risk of sounding uneducated, I'll admit only within the past couple years did I become aware of the term "whistleblower" as well as the sort of subgenre in drama focusing on the brave characters who dare to take down powerful people and organizations. Variety reports that Monica Belluci (Shoot 'Em Up), David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum) and Vanessa Redgrave (Venus) are joining Rachel Weisz (The Brothers Bloom) in the true story of a policewoman who uncovers an international scandal in a film called, aptly, The Whistleblower. The film is a Canadian-German co-production in partnership with Barry Films.
The film, which begins shooting in Romania next week directed by Larysa Kondracki, highlights a scandal involving both American contractors and the United Nations in postwar Bosnia. While Weisz is playing the title character Kathryn Bolkovac, a U.N. peacekeeper whom co-writers Ellis Kirwan and Larysa Kondracki (making her directorial debut

Hal Holbrook has spent 55 years in movies and TV, and yet, he had to wait until he was nearly 82 to earn an Academy Award nomination. Though it's doubtful he'll break through for his second acting nomination in two years - following a supporting nod for his heartbreaking work in Sean Penn's Into the Wild - Holbrook is getting rave reviews for his work in That Evening Sun.
It isn't beyond comprehension that he could wind up in that category; Peter O'Toole made a charge with Venus a couple years ago...but he's Peter O'Toole. Last year, Richard Jenkins bucked the odds to wind up in that category, and there's little doubt That Evening Sun would need a similar kind of grass roots campaign to vault Holbrook into a category that will almost certainly containg Day-Lewis, Freeman, and/or Clooney.

Peter O'Toole, one of Ireland's legendary thespians and bon vivant, is feeling a bit antsy lately because he cannot find any work.
The 77-year-old star, who has been nominated eight times for an Oscar and was awarded an honorary golden statue in 2003, was slated to appear in three movies this year, but after funding fell through for all projects, he has been left out of a job and is a bit miffed.
"You cannot say, 'I'm going to be in a film in two or three months,' because the thing can fall apart two weeks beforehand," O’Toole told Tim Walker of Britain's Telegraph.
"There isn't enough funding. I was meant to be in three films this year and none of them came off. It's frustrating."

We have just received info from Lionsgate Home Entertainment that they are intending to release Good on DVD in the UK from August 31st, 2009.
Good is a thrilling and thought-provoking World War II drama (based on the acclaimed Cp Taylor play) which uses one man's moral decline to express the fate of 1930s Germany. Good is directed by Vicente Amorim and features electric performances from Viggo Mortensen, "outstanding" The Hollywood Reporter, (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Eastern Promises, A History of Violence), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter franchise, Peter Pan, Event Horizon) and Jodie Whittaker (Venus, St. Trinian's).

With shooting scheduled to start in New York next month, the already heavyweight cast of the sniggertastically-titled Morning Glory has gained another talented thesp, with Patrick Wilson signing up for the Paramount Comedy.Morning Glory sees Wilson will swap the Owlship for a New York newsroom, in which he plays the love interest of Rachel McAdams' ambitious TV producer. This is getting interesting! Diane Keaton and Jeff Goldblum have officially joined Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams in Paramount Pictures' comedy "Morning Glory."
McAdams will star as a TV news producer who struggles to rescue a morning show by taking control of its difficult anchors (Ford and Keaton). According to Variety, Goldblum is set to play McAdams' boss.
J.J. Abrams will produce the project, while Roger Michell is on board to direct. Michell most recently directed the splendid "Venus," and his credits also include "Enduring Love" and "Notting Hill." Aline Brosh McKenna, whose credits include "The Devil Wears Prada," wrote the script.
Keaton was last seen in the disappointing comedy "Mad Money." Goldblum recently starred in "Adam Resurrected." He's filming "The Baster" right now. I only hope Ford and Keaton will be as solid a fighting team as Keaton and Jack Nicholson in "Something's Gotta Give."

Variety reports Diane Keaton and Jeff Goldblum have signed on to join Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams in the Roger Michell directed comedy Morning Glory for Paramount Pictures, which is scheduled to begin filming next month in New York.
The film, which is not a remake of the 1933 Katharine Hepburn starrer that won the actress an Oscar, centers on an aspiring news producer (McAdams) who tries to save a failing morning show by getting control of its feuding anchors. Ford and Keaton will play the dueling on-air personalities. Goldblum will portray McAdams' boss.
Aline Brosh McKenna who had a hand in the upcoming musical remake Fame and also adapted the Lauren Weisberger novel "The Devil Wears Prada" penned the script.
Based on the premise of the film, if you are looking for comparisons in Michell's directorial work the most obvious film would probably be Notting Hill. The only other Michell

There's a better than average chance that Kate Winslet will pick up an Academy Award Sunday night for The
Reader. It's neither my favorite performance in that category, nor is it her best work,
but at 33, she's already something of an Oscar spinster, having been nominated six times with no trophies to show for it.
Among actresses, Winslet is tied for the most nominations without a win. Deborah Kerr and Thelma Ritter have six, too, and
curiously, all of them were sandwiched in a short amount of time, like Winslet. Kerr amassed six nods between 1949 and 1960,
while Ritter did her damage between 1950 and 1962. Kate has lost for Sense and Sensibility, Titanic, Iris, Eternal
Sunshine, and Little Children.
The record for no wins, at least among actors, is the legendary Peter O'Toole, who it goes without saying is among
