Robert Greenwald, director of Uncovered and Outfoxed, takes on the economics of the low-cost retail giant Wal-Mart and the effects of its policies on American workers and communities. His production got its biggest boost when Wal-Mart responded, thus giving his ground-level production a national spotlight. Salon critic Andrew O'Hehir writes: "You probably know most of the information that appears in Greenwald's film by now -- a laundry list of anti-Wal-Mart indictments has been aired in the news media over the past few years -- but it remains a powerful experience to see it gathered together and supported by witness after witness."
