I believe this film was originally called Adrift but had the title changed to Open Water 2 to cash in on the first film. Either way, this here is pretty much a remake/rip off of the first film but it's actually pretty good. Six friends go out on a large boat to have some fun and halfway through the cruise they decide to go for a swim. Once in the water they realize that they forgot to put the ladder down, which means they are stuck in the water. Unlike the first film, sharks don't play a part in this film but we mainly see the six trying to figure out a way to get back on the boat. Technically speaking the film is pretty well made and features a nice music score. The cinematography is also pretty good for such a low budget film. Performances are about average but better than expected. If you enjoyed the film film then you'll probably find this one mildly entertaining but just don't pay too much attention to the title.
