Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are in talks to star in Columbia Picture’s romantic comedy “Pretend Wife.”
Dennis Dugan, the director of Sandler’s “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan,” is the leading contender to direct the project, though no deals have been made as the studio is figuring out the seating arrangement.
A script for “Pretend Wife,” once known as “Holiday in Hawaii,” is written by Allan Loeb (”Things We Lost in the Fire,” “21,” “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”) and Tim Dowling (”Role Models”) is being kept under wraps.
Columbia is planning a shoot early next year and eyeing a release on February 11, 2011.
Aniston can next be seen in romantic comedies “The Bounty” opposite Gerard Butler and “The Baster” (also written by Allan Loeb) with Jason Bateman, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum.
Sandler’s ensemble comedy “Grown Ups” opens next summer. He works on “Jack and »

Adapted by Keith Bunin (a writer on television's In Treatment), this is based on Julianna Baggott and Steve Almond's novel which centers on a single man and single woman who meet at a wedding and begin a relationship in which they write letters describing past romances and missteps. - Susanne Bier might have to get another work visa abroad, as it will be highly unlikely that she'll be working on back to back Danish language projects. After working on some false starts post Things We Lost in the Fire, Bier who is currently filming Civilization a.k.a Hævnen (about Sudan’s refugee camps and in a little Danish provincial town) and might jump onto Which Brings Me to You next for Steve Golin and Richard Brown's Anonymous Content. Moviegoers are not interested in war films, yet three of the best movies of 2009 have the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan as their backdrop. The Hurt Locker, The Messenger, and Brothers are solid, somber, and timely films which likely won't find any success at the box office. But that's due to the timing of their releases and not due to the artistic merits of each of the three films.
Brothers is the Americanized remake of the 2004 Danish film, Brødre, co-written and directed by Susanne Bier (Things We Lost in the Fire). I'm not familiar with Bier's original film so I can't compare how writer David Benioff (The Kite Runner, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has adapted Bier's work or how Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In America) stands up as director next to Bier. I can say this Brothers took me completely by surprise with its unflinching look at the affects of war on returning U. »

Benicio del Toro lost his virginity aged 13.
The 42-year-old actor first became interested in the opposite sex when he was a toddler, and claims it was a natural progression for him to sleep with a woman at such a young age.
He told Playboy magazine: "I remember liking girls in pre-kindergarten in Puerto Rico, when I was only three or four.
"I was about 13 when I lost my virginity, and that first experience was totally a nervous situation. It was in a house with someone I had known only a little bit. She was slightly older, and she'd done it before... I wasn't exactly a natural, but it was good. I had wanted it to happen for a while."
Benicio filmed a love scene with Halle Berry for 2007 movie 'Things We Lost in the Fire', and admits he found it difficult to shoot.
He explained: "She was completely absorbed by her role, »

Halle Berry has been pretty Mia for the last few years-- after starring in the last X-Men movie and trying her hand at drama in the underseen Things We Lost in the Fire, she had a baby, took a break, and signed her name on to a handful of projects, none of which have started production. Now she's adding another one to the pile, going into advanced talks to sign in Dark Tide, an action thriller about a diving instructor returning to the high seas after an encounter with a Great White. Amy Sorlie wrote it, according to Variety, and S.W.A.T. director Clark Johnson will handle it all from there. Johnson too has been Mia-- since S.W.A.T. he has mostly directed TV show episodes. Think this can be a decent comeback for the both of them? »

Halle Berry could be making the thriller Dark Tide before the end of the year. The Die Another Day actress is in talks to headline the movie for director Clark Johnson (S.W.A.T., NBC's Kings) and producers Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Martin Shore and Christopher Tuffin.
The movie centers on a diving instructor who once had a deadly encounter with a great white shark. She tries to overcome her fear of returning underwater. The picture is budgeted at between $15 million to $20 million and will film in South Africa.
Berry's last film was 2007's Things We Lost in the Fire. She's taken the time off to become a mother and just returned to making movies this year. Frankie and Alice, a drama in which she stars with Stellan Skarsgard, is in the can but doesn't as yet have a release date. However, recent unconfirmed gossip heard in the past week states that »

Frank Langella has been added to the cast of Oliver Stone’s 1987’s “Wall Street” sequel – “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.”
Shia Labeouf stars with Michael Douglas, who’ll reprise his Best Actor Oscar-winning role as Gordon Gekko role 21 years later. Josh Brolin is currently in talks to star in the film as well.
Oscar nominated Langella (”Frost/Nixon”) will play Lewis Zabel, a mentor to Shia Labeouf’s character, a young Wall Street broker.
Allan Loeb (”21,” “Things We Lost In The Fire”) has scripted the project. The story reportedly finds Gekko finishing his prison sentence and attempting to reconcile with his estranged daughter, who is dating Labeouf’s character.
Frank Langella will next be seen starring with Cameron Diaz and James Marsden in Richard Kelly-directed thriller “The Box” and Andrew Jarecki’s “All Good Things” with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst.

I'm told that screenwriter Allan Loeb (21, Things We Lost In The Fire) will hand in his second draft of the long-awaited Wall Street 2 to 20th Century Fox later this week. (Although the great Stanley Weiser and his film school pal Oliver Stone were credited as writers of the original pic, Stephen Schiff was first to script the sequel.) I heard Loeb's first draft was "so great" that Stone didn't feel the need to touch it -- yet. But no one expects the director to keep hands off on the second draft since principal photography starts on August 10th. The film's release is now planned for February 2010. »

The Sultan of Greed is back. Gordon Gekko will dig out his trouser braces for another stroll down Wall Street, with Oliver Stone now confirmed to direct after months of rumors. Allan Loeb (Things We Lost In The Fire, 21) will develop the screenplay. Edward R. Pressman, a producer on the first film, will also return alongside Stone.
It has been confirmed that Shia Labeouf is currently in negotiations with Fox to star alongside Oscar Winner Michael Douglas, who picked up the award for his original performance in 1987. The story will once again revolve around a young Wall Street stocks trader who becomes enveloped in the corruption, greed and shady ethics most recently brought directly into front page headlines by the worldwide economic meltdown.
We will bring you all of the new details as they become available.

12.00 Normal 0 false false false En-us X-none X-none MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Anyone who might have had his or her interest in Halle Berry piqued by the Oscar win for Monsters Ball (which despite the acclaim, let's be honest, no one saw) and then went out and rented the triple-headed clunker of Gothika, Catwoman and Perfect Stranger could be forgiven for thinking that the statue win was just some sick joke. Thankfully her sublime, nuanced performance in Things We Lost in the Fire as a grieving widow clinging to her dead husband's best friend shows not only that Ball was no fluke, but also that Berry is an actress that benefits from a strong director capable of eliciting delicacy.
On the face of it Audrey (Berry) and Brian (the impossibly amiable David Duchovny) have a blissful marriage in a nice home with two wonderful children. The only source of tension is Brian's continued unconditional »
