This sitcom had a lot of potential! It came in a time where most sitcoms were about goofy humor, emo characters and things like that; properly said, to adapt to social reality.
The truth is that "Twins" was a clever, smart, show that probably lacked of more physical comedy and witty humor.
Melanie Griffith did a fine performance as the sexy, oh very sexy mother while Sarah Gilbert carried the show on her back as the mature sister. The sexy younger sister delivered in part some of the goofy dialogs and visual attractive.
I think that the plot lacked of a punch but it wasn't boring at all. Maybe some situations were not executed in a funnier way.
Still, this show was destined to syndication.
