The couple that abducts Dave shows him newspaper cut-outs about what happened when a hurricane hit Brazil, Cuba and Argentina. In fact, the newspaper articles are written in Dutch, and tell about a musical band, and about computers and anti virus software. Bonaire, a Netherland's Antilles Island, is the first incident mentioned. The Dutch clippings refer to that incident, other clippings are in Spanish and Portoguese.

As a looong time fan of Sci-Fi myself, I think this show is really well done. It is a mind-game, and if you can't follow along, just don't watch. You cannot expect show like this one to give away all it's secrets right from the start, Surface hasn't, if you think you know everything already you don't. That's the point, to keep us hooked from week to week, and Invasion has managed to do that with me and my daughter, who are very hard to please Sci-Fi fans. This show's plot is not meant to be revealed in the first two airings, it's a long complicated process, and those who don't have the patience and can't enjoy a truly enjoyable edge of your seat show shouldn't put it down, just stop watching it, and be quiet!
