At the Republican and Democratic conventions, people are asked a simple question "tell us one nice thing about the opposition". Despite a very simple concept, the film has some depth to it and has a lot to say about the political climate in America today. The tone of the film changes during its course. At first, the respondents all seem taken aback by the question and many have rather sarcastic comments. Then, some begin to say rather disingenuous things, like "I love how ________ makes it so easy for my party to win". Finally, towards the end, the people all are able to come up with some realistic and nice comments about the other party--but it sure looked like this part of the film would never come! Because of this, it both says that the politicians need to stop being so partisan and childish, though the end implies maybe there is some hope....maybe.

Clever and well done, this little documentary has a lot to say.
