The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A brief shot of covers of porn magazines (barely visible).

Mentions of a man "touching" students and the same man being arrested on molestation charges.

Talks of one "screwing" another's wife

Violence & Gore

A man walks up to a couple sitting in a car and shoots them at point blank range. Blood spurts from the man's wounds and spatters the woman. The killer reloads and empties a second clip into them. Blood is shown all over the car and on the girl's face. The man in the car survives, but the girl dies.

A masked killer walks up to a couple, and, threatens them with a gun. He forces the girl to tie the man up, then ties her himself and stabs both of them. Blood is seen building up on their shirts, and you see the impact of the knife entry. Again the man survives but the girl does not.

A cab driver is shot point blank in the back of the neck from the backseat. Blood spurts from the wound in his upper throat. A crime scene shows the aftermath.

In letters written to a newspaper, the killer describes his murders and threatens to plant bombs and shoot schoolbuses full of children.

Profanity

Profane language used by Paul Avery in one scene which takes place in the news room (at 1 hr. 4 min.) and by both Inspector Toschi and Avery in a second scene (at 1 hr. 15 min.)

the F word is used throughout the entire movie

References to smoking and alcoholic drinks. Character is shown using cocaine and also in possession of marijuana.

The three killings in the film are frightening and/or shocking. The whole film is intense, especially during some investigation scenes and a scene in which the prime suspect in the murders is interviewed. A television show in which an impostor pretending to be the Zodiac killer calls in is creepy.

A woman whose car breaks down in the middle of the night is picked up by a shadowy man in a car. He tells her he will kill her and throw her baby out the window. She is next seen standing in the road screaming, though she and her baby are unharmed.

An investigator visits the home of a man he believes knew the murderer. They talk and the man shows him to the basement, where it becomes apparent that he may in fact be the killer. The investigator escapes the scene as quickly as he can.

When a masked killer ties a couple up he stabs both of them. Blood is seen building up on their shirts, and you see the impact of the knife entry. This is one of the most disturbing and real thing of the movie, it disturbs me to this day.
