13 November 2009 12:57 AM, PST | TheInsider.com | See recent The Insider news »

Hayden Panettiere is scrubbing in for her producing debut as co-executive producer of the CWs Hms, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show will follow a class of intelligent Harvard Medical School students. Appealing to a younger audience than Grey's Anatomy, the drama will have a similar feel to the hit ABC show. Hayden will step back in front of the lens for the film Alpha and Omega, scheduled for an October 2010 release. She stars alongside the likes of Justin Long, Christina Ricci, Dennis Hopper, and Danny Glover. She also lent her voice to the upcoming animated movie Hoodwinked Too! 12 November 2009 8:18 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

The hits from this year’s American Film Market (Afm)* keep on coming.  The yearly festival where buyers and sellers do business to bring us all the movies we’ll see in the (hopefully) near future offers plenty of photos and full synopses.  You may not have the fat cash to purchase these movies but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy their first images and plot details.  We’ve got the goods for Hellraiser, Earthbound (Starring Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal), Nowhere Boy, The Concert, The Tournament, and the animated films Escape from Planet Earth, Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil.  Check it all out (plus the digital version of the promo poster for Scream 4) after the jump.  Please note that I have copied down all synopsis exactly as they were originally written.

Anne Hathaway and Neil Patrick Harris Set for Rio

22 October 2009 9:47 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris and Rodrigo Santoro are in talks to voice the animated feature Rio, for Blue Sky Studios, Fox Animation and director Carlos Saldanha, who also teamed up for Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rio follows the adventures of a nerdy macaw who lights out from his small-town Minnesota cage for the exotic Summer Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro. Like "Dinosaurs," it will be filmed in 3D digital animation.

Hathaway and Harris have done animation before. Hathaway voiced the lead role of Red in the Weinstein Co. release Hoodwinked in 2005, and Harris voiced a character in Sony Pictures Animation's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Fox would not confirm casting.

Rio is scheduled for an April 8, 2011 release.
